Curatorial Statement
Cache marks Lin Wu’s first PDCP (Physical–Digital Curatorial Practice) project. Developed during the COVID-19 pandemic, when physical access to cultural spaces was repeatedly disrupted, the exhibition responded to a broader condition of uncertainty, interruption and suspended continuity. Taking “cache” as both a digital mechanism and a metaphor for memory, preservation and temporary storage, the project explored what individuals and societies choose to retain when familiar systems of access, encounter and stability become unreliable. The exhibition brought together works concerned with concealment, displacement, protection, disappearance and reactivation, asking whether what is temporarily hidden or suspended might later return in altered forms. Alongside the physical exhibition at A60 Art Space, a virtual public-learning environment extended these questions into a parallel digital space for participation and reflection. Rather than reproducing the gallery online, it developed a second field of experience, establishing an early model for Wu’s ongoing PDCP methodology.
